Thank you so much for your interest in Healing Grounds! I really appreciate speaking requests, and I deeply value the opportunity for conversation about how to further racial justice and climate action through regenerative agriculture!

As this book is written by a white professor (me!) and features the work of people of color, I’ve developed guidelines for speaking requests in order to honor the book’s intention of uplifting rather than exploiting leaders of color and their stories.

I ask that speaking invitations be directed to one or more of the leaders featured in the book. Please use this table from Northeast Farmers of Color Land Trust as a guideline for offering appropriate honoraria. I am happy to appear alongside the leaders featured in the book, without an additional honorarium, although my travel costs may need to be covered depending on the location.
